SAMPLE PREVIEW · Sample data only · not connected to employer or product records.

A safety leader and maintenance professional review a tablet beside a stationary, guarded conveyor line.

LOCKOUT/TAGOUT · MACHINE GUARDING · HIGH-CONSEQUENCE RISK

See the safeguards that matter—and whether they are holding up.

Identify the few safeguards tied to serious harm, assign an owner, and verify them at a site-defined cadence. X3 Critical Controls helps qualified teams keep the expected control, field review, evidence, and exception follow-up together.

PRE-PRODUCTION PREVIEW

This page and the linked sample workspace contain no real site data. The workspace uses fictional, session-only drafts; nothing is saved, assigned, or sent. The existing external applicability service is not used. Do not use this preview for live safety decisions.

A CONTROL IS A WORKING SYSTEM

From a critical risk to an owned verification loop.

Make the expectation visible before the review, record what the qualified person observed, and keep a concern attached to its next owner. The site’s procedures and authority remain in charge.

  1. 01SELECT

    Name the serious-harm risk

Start with the high-consequence events and site operations your qualified team has chosen to manage.

  2. 02DEFINE

    Describe the expected control

Keep the employer-approved standard, accountable role, and review scope connected to the risk.

  3. 03VERIFY

Put the review in the right hands

Give authorized reviewers a site-owned cadence and a place to record the evidence or concern they observed.

  4. 04FOLLOW THROUGH

    Keep an exception visible

Route a failed, missing, or overdue review to its designated owner for action under the site’s real process.

Two workplace leaders review a guarded conveyor from a safe distance during a site-owned review.

A BETTER VIEW OF CRITICAL SAFEGUARDS

The right person should know what to review—and what happens next.

Bring control ownership, verification timing, evidence, and follow-up into a shared operational view. Reviewers still assess the real equipment and work conditions using the employer’s current procedures.

  • Keep the serious-harm scenario and its site-defined control together.
  • Make the accountable role and review cadence easy to find.
  • Record an observation or exception for human follow-up.
  • Review repeated gaps without presenting a compliance score as proof of safety.

WHAT X3 CRITICAL CONTROLS IS FOR

Make life-critical safeguards easier to manage—not easier to assume.

A dedicated home for site-selected controls, reviewer ownership, evidence, and the issues that need attention.

CONTROL REGISTER

See the safeguards that matter

Bring a site-selected critical risk, its expected safeguard, owner, review schedule, and supporting references into one view.

FIELD VERIFICATION

Make the review specific

Keep employer-defined verification prompts and evidence together so reviewers know what they are being asked to assess.

EXCEPTION ROUTING

Give concerns a next owner

Show an open concern, due review, or missing evidence for qualified site personnel to evaluate and handle.

LEARNING & ASSURANCE

Find repeated gaps

Help leaders review patterns across control checks and follow-up without turning a dashboard into a safety verdict.

A CLEAR LINE BETWEEN SOFTWARE AND FIELD AUTHORITY

Organize assurance. Leave real-world decisions with qualified people.

It can organizeSite-defined controls, accountable roles, verification prompts, review evidence, and follow-up context.
It cannot isolate energyIt does not create or approve LOTO steps, identify isolation points, apply locks/tags, or release equipment.
It cannot verify a machineIt does not inspect guarding, test an interlock, assess actual conditions, or decide whether equipment is safe.
It does not replace authorityIt does not issue work authorization, determine stop-work decisions, or replace employer programs, training, or qualified review.

If a real condition is uncertain or a safeguard may not be effective, follow the employer’s actual procedure and escalate to the authorized site personnel.

CLEAR ANSWERS BEFORE YOU EXPLORE

What it does—and what it never claims.

Is X3 Critical Controls only a lockout/tagout product?

No. Lockout/tagout can be one critical-control category. The product is intended to help a qualified employer team organize a wider, site-defined set of serious-harm safeguards, such as machine guarding and other controls relevant to its operations.

Does it create or approve machine-specific LOTO procedures?

No. X3 Critical Controls does not write, approve, or replace an employer’s energy-control procedures; identify isolation points; apply locks or tags; or authorize work or restart. Use the employer’s current procedure and qualified personnel for real work.

Can software verify a safeguard or declare a job safe?

No. A qualified person must review actual conditions and evidence. The software can organize the review and follow-up; it cannot inspect a worksite, make a stop-work decision, or determine that a control is effective.

What is connected in this preview?

Nothing is connected. The workspace uses fictional, in-memory drafts and does not call the pre-existing applicability service. Ownership and data boundaries for any future integration still need verification before it can be considered for live use.
